Itinerary
Day 1: Meet at the campsite at 12 PM to set up tents. Afternoon activities include exploring the town, grabbing coffee, swimming, sightseeing, flying kites, or crabbing. Please bring your own toys for these activities. In the evening, we’ll have a BBQ, music, and a campfire gathering.
Day 2: Watch the sunrise over the ocean, followed by a hometown-style fried rice noodle breakfast. After breakfast, pack up and explore Port Campbell, including a visit to the Twelve Apostles. We’ll then drive 1 hour to Aire River West Campground for more camping, BBQ, music, and a campfire in the evening.
Day 3: Pack away and have breakfast. We’ll enjoy a close encounter with koalas and a light 10 km hike before returning to Melbourne, ending the trip with a gathering at Richmond’s Pacific store for roast duck.
Sign-up Notes
2 males + 1 female (3 cars available). We have space for 3 more people in a 4-person female tent and 1 more person in a 2-person male tent. Alternatively, you can bring your own tent.
Weather forecast: partly cloudy, 9-18°C.
What to bring: personal camping gear, including a pillow, headlamp, sleeping bag, clothes, toiletries, sunscreen, snacks, and drinks.
Cost: a prepayment of A$60 per person is required for campsite booking, food, and basic beverages (we’ll adjust for any differences in expenses).
